Don Nance is back home in Wythville, VA resting comfortably from an operation connected to his Crones Disease problem of many years. He spent over a week in the hospital in Chapel Hill.
Don says that he'll be totally recovered and in shape for the annual "race up the hill" which is a contest between him and Ed Myers to see who can run up the hill at the CHS practice field the fastest. The event is held on the hottest day in August every year to commemorate the CHS football practices of the early 50's.
The competition is closed to the public. Only their wives and the Charlotte Rescue Squad will be in attendance.
